Trainers.

The Senior Class is trained by the Senseis Karin Prinsloo and Graz Prinsloo.Karin is a 6th Dan black belt holder in JKA. With a career spanning over 38 years in karate, coupled with a strong background in sports science, Karin’s approach to teaching is both holistic and effective. Her international experience as a competitor, coach, and gold medalist in the under 60 kg Kumite category at the 6th World Games adds immense value to our adult classes. Karin’s role in nurturing top karateka and her recognition as one of the top 100 Karate competitors globally ensures that our members receive quality training.

Class Structure and Training Approach.

The martial arts for adults senior Class is open to students above the age of 12 and purple belt level, with a special focus on adult training every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday morning. The training focuses on a balanced mix of various karate techniques, ensuring that each session contributes to your overall fitness, technique mastery, and understanding of Karate. We emphasize the importance of personal growth and skill development, ensuring that each member’s journey is fulfilling and enriching.

What to Bring to Class.

To maximise your training experience, we recommend bringing the following items to class:

Water Bottle

Essential for staying hydrated during intense sessions.

A Karate Suit

Beginners can wear comfortable stretchy pants to facilitate ease of movement and flexibility and a t-shirt for comfort and to maintain a full range of motion during exercises.

Good mindset

An open mind and positive attitude are a great way to learn.
